The word ‘gospel’ means “good news.” Christianity does not begin with what we must do for God, but with what God has already done for us in Jesus Christ. It is an announcement of a rescue that has already taken place and a call to respond in faith.

As believers we live in the grace of God looking to love God in obeying His commands but realising that when we get it wrong our salvation is not in doubt. When the gospel is rightly understood, it shapes not only what we believe, but how we live, worship, and relate to God and others.
