UK Mission Partners

  • Our Vision is to be a Word and Spirit Church. By proclaiming God’s Word and honouring the gift and the gifts of the Holy Spirit we aim to make disciples of Jesus to bring salvation and healing to the community of Wester Hailes and beyond.

We have a long established relationship with Holy Trinity Church of Scotland, Wester Hailes.  Volunteers from St Mungo’s help with activities during the week including their café, food bank, MOPS (Mothers of Pre-schoolers), CAP (Christians Against Poverty) and Safe Families for Children project.  Our financial support helps to pay for their Centre Manager, the food bank and short term support of the Counselling Centre Manager.

  • Our vision at SU Scotland is to see every child and young person in Scotland exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus.

SU Scotland is committed to sharing the good news of Jesus with children and young people in Scotland.  Half our financial support goes to the ES-team working in Edinburgh schools and the other half into SU’s general fund.  There are members of the church on the staff of SU Scotland and many others are involved as volunteers, running SU groups in local schools and taking part in SU camps.

The remit of the charity has continued to expand and although this remains the main focus, the charity also addresses wider issues of poverty in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Their aim is to encourage individuals and communities to transition from requiring basic care & relief support through to self-sustainability and building a healthy & sustainable community.
