Transform
Monthly Worship Service
(3rd Sunday of the month)
Around 100 people gather together on a Sunday evening once a month in 6:30pm in Balerno Parish Church for a time of extended worship. There is Holy Spirit renewal prayer ministry offered as part the service and the evening is open to all ages.
We believe that powerful things happen when the church gathers together to lift up the name of Jesus in praise and worship.
We’d love to see you!
Transform is led by St Mungo’s Worship Collective. You can watch previous Transform’s on our YouTube Channel and find our latest release ‘Make Way’ on streaming platforms. In June we were excited to collaborate with Edinburgh based gospel band ‘Made for His Praise’.

All ages are welcome at Transform. It is a bit louder than our normal service so we’d recommend ear defenders for babies and toddlers. If you are looking for specific groups for your children and young people then check out our 10:30 services as there are dedicated groups. This is a service which is only worship - there is no talk. We have a band who lead us in an extended time of sung worship with space created for the congregation to sing out their own songs of praise too, whether using the gift of tongues or singing in their own language. The band usually consists of drums, bass, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, keyboard, vocalists, and a solo instrument, eg. violin. The service also has opportunities for Holy Spirit renewal prayer ministry, where the trained ministry team will walk around the room and offer to pray for people to be filled afresh with the Holy Spirit. We like people to feel safe and so if you don’t want prayer, just say no thank you.

There are no refreshments at the 6:30pm service but on the 1st Sunday of the month we gather together at 6:30pm in the St Mungo’s Ministry Centre for a cafe. This is a great opportunity to spend time together as family. There is no agenda or service, it is simply a space to come and connect.

St Mungo’s is a word and Spirit church, who believes that the Holy Spirit works in our lives today. Personal prayer ministry is the invitation for our trained ministry team to pray for you, they will do this by asking if it is OK to put their hand on your shoulder and will then pray and ask the Holy Spirit to come and fill you. In Ephesians 5:18 Paul encourages us, in the Greek, to go on being filled with the Spirit. This is because we leak and so we want to create an opportunity for people to be refilled.
This is entirely optional and there is no pressure or expectation on people to come forward for prayer ministry.
