Communion and Soaking

At 9:30am on the last Thursday of a month we gather together in the church building, Ladycroft, for 1 hour to share communion together and to spend time waiting on the Lord. The language we often use to describe this time of waiting is soaking.

This service is an opportunity to come and spend time in the presence of God. We begin by being reminded of the sacrifice Jesus made so that we might have access to the Father by taking communion and then we put on some gentle worship music, find a quiet spot in the church and relax into the arms of the Father.

It is a sacred moment in the busyness of life to be still and wait on the Lord. Scripture reminds us that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength and so this is an invitation to, once a month, come and rest in His presence, to receive and to be refreshed.
