Sunday services

Enjoy a relaxed and friendly church service with modern worship and relevant talks. Bring the family on a Sunday morning and you'll find groups for all ages.

Come to our main services at 10.30am in Balerno or in Livingston

Join around 400 people at Balerno High School or 80 people  at St Margaret’s Academy for our main morning services which combine contemporary worship and a talk, based on the Bible and focused on contemporary issues.

Groups for children and young people happen alongside the main services. You’ll find child care for babies, and fun, relevant programmes for children and young people including games, crafts, music, teaching and chat.

There’s tea and coffee, served by 12noon and many people stay to chat – but you don’t have to!

Or try out the 6.30pm service

Even more informal than the morning, our weekly evening event features vibrant worship, relevant Bible teaching and time to be prayed for. Hot drinks are served from 6pm in the main concourse.

“We enjoy the services as they are lively with good worship, good teaching and a good sense of God’s presence.  It’s also a joy to be part of God’s family through St Mungo’s.”

Join the early service at 8.45am

This traditional Holy Communion service is smaller and quieter. It takes place in the St Mungo’s church building in Balerno and includes Anglican liturgy and hymns. Tea and coffee served afterwards.

Useful to know…

Who? Everyone is welcome. Groups for children and young people run alongside the adult service. If you are bringing children to the 10.30am service, allow a few minutes to deliver them to their groups before the start of the service. Find more about kids and youth at St Mungos.

When and where? 10:30am and 6:30pm in Balerno High School and 10:30am in St Margaret’s Academy Livingston. Holy Communion at 8.45am in the St Mungo’s church building, Balerno. Not been before? Find a map and directions.

Why? This is your invitation to come along and try a church service.  We hope you’ll find us friendly and welcoming and a relevant, interesting place to worship God and explore your faith. You are welcome to join us any Sunday.
