St Mungo's student housegroups

The St Mungo's services on Sunday are a time of celebration ,worship and teaching, where the Church comes together as a body. 

We also need a space where we can meet, build relationships, develop and grow as Christians and provide care for each other.   This works best in groups which are on a smaller scale. 

In St Mungo's these groups are called housegroups they meet regularly and are places of Care and Discipleship;

•   Care: places where we can gather for mutual support and encouragement
•   Discipleship: places to face the challenges of living as a Christian for God in the student world and beyond, to encourage each other in our witness and outreach, and to grow more into who God made us to be.

The format of the meetings is a mixture of fellowship, prayer, teaching, discussion and worship.

We want to have our relationship with God and our forgiveness through Christ central to all of our meetings and value both the renewing & empowering work of the Holy Spirit and the inspiration and authority of the Bible.

St Mungo's supports and works with other groups who work among students including the CU's, Edinburgh Alpha for Students and Edinburgh Navigators.

St Mungo's Sunday services are held at 8:45am (Holy Communion) in Church Building, 10:30a.m. (Family Worship) in Balerno High School and 6:00pm (Renewal Service) in Balerno High School.
