Community involvement

Throughout the year we aim to be "good news" in the local community. Once a year, the Hope Weekend in May provides an added focus.

During the first weekend  in May teams of young people and adults go to work in our community. We  get involved in painting, car washing, gardening, litter picking and loads else. In recent years lots of volunteers have got stuck into a gardening project at Harmeny School in Balerno – and seen the difference it can make.

At the core of the Hope Weekend is worship of God and prayer so that we can offer the love of Jesus with no strings attached.

Family Fun Day

On the holiday Monday, we run a Family Fun Day, especially for families with pre-school and primary aged children.
