St Mungo’s Church
Life and
Leadership Course
An important New Testament principle is that if you would lead others, you must serve others. Life begins with dependence, then moves to
independence. This is a time when we discover (if we are wise) who we are, what
we can do and what our limitations are. Interdependence is a higher value than
either dependence or independence. This course looks at
our relationship with God, with one another and with ourselves, in order
to equip us to live the way God wants us to, in interdependence with others. The aims of the course are taken
from Ephesians 4, 11-13 · To prepare God’s people for works of service · To build up the body of Christ · To increase unity in the faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ · To enable participants to be more mature Christians in their attitudes and actions · To enable participants to become more Christ like in all aspects of their lives Course material is drawn
from a number of Christian sources on life and leadership skills.
