Becoming
a Confident Christian (so
that you can share your faith with others)! This course lasts for four weeks. By
the end of the course, participants should: 1.
Be aware of their own personal style of talking about
or demonstrating their faith, and recognise that God can use it whatever it is! 2.
Know how to build relationships with non-Christians 3.
Understand how to help a friend or colleague to start exploring what it is to be
a Christian 4.
Be able to tell their own story of coming to faith
and having a relationship with God. 5.
Know how to begin to answer common questions that non-Christians have about
becoming a Christian
‘In
their heart of hearts , I think that all true
followers of Christ long to become contagious Christians. Though unsure how to
do so, or the risks involved, deep down they sense that there isn’t anything
as rewarding as opening up a person to God’s love and truth’..
Bill Hybels Jesus
stories in Luke 15 about the lost sheep, the lost coin and the prodigal son
tell us that we have never locked eyes with another human being
who isn’t valuable to God God’s
love is so great that it
looks beyond sins, patiently endures years of resistance, selfish pleasure
seeking, money chasing, and power
wielding. God’s love says ‘Even though you are way off track, you still
matter to me! You really do!’
There
is nothing like the adventure of being used by God to spread his love, truth and
life to other people who matter deeply to him! The
course is
based on material from the Becoming a Contagious Christian course from Willow
Creek and the Lost for Words course by CPAS
