House Groups
House Groups are key relational building blocks at St Mungo’s. If you count St Mungo’s as your church, then we’d encourage you to join one of the 26 groups located across the south of Edinburgh and West Lothian.
Our House Groups meet 2 or 3 times a month on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings to worship, learn from the Bible and pray together. They also have occasional social events. House groups provide a place to get to know people and to receive care, support and encouragement from others in the church.
To get involved, please pick up a leaflet from the information table at any Sunday service, fill in the form and give it to one of the staff team. Someone from the staff pastoral team will then talk with you about which group will suit you best.
The views of one House Group member:
‘We moved to St Mungo’s two years ago and being in a housegroup has meant that we have got to know people at a deeper level than we could have done through seeing people only at church. My husband and I go to different housegroups which has meant that we have got to know twice as many people this way. The groups are caring, supportive and a great source of encouragement to us both. It’s good to be part of a big church, but getting to know people in a small group that meets regularly is also really special.’
