    Week commencing 26 October 2014

    Ministry team/wider leadership meeting planned for Wednesday 29 October (8pm in church).  Malcolm will be speaking and praying for people “post Toronto.” Do offer to babysit for any leaders you know who would appreciate this help to attend.

    Daniel Plan.  40 days to a healthier life.   New course starting on Tuesday mornings from 28 October for six weeks in Wellness Centre.  More details on flyers and express interest via Sharan on sharan.collins@stmungos.org

    Children’s parties on Friday 31st October. Invitations available for fun parties hosted for children and their friends as  alternative to Hallowe’en events. ‘Old MacDonald had a farm party’ 10-11.30am for under 5’s; ‘Simply sock-tacular’ 4.45-6.00pm for p1-3 and 6.30-8.00pm for p4-7. All in St Mungo’s church building.  RSVP by Monday 27th October to  andrea.brewster@stmungos.org for under 5’s party and george.gera@stmungos.org for both primary school aged parties.

    Friday 31st October – nrg and nbt will be having a joint evening at the Ministry Centre, 46B Bavelaw Road, usual time of 7.30pm to 9.30pm, so parents of S1-S6 should drop off and pick up there instead of the Church Building, Ladycroft

    Safe Families for Children- Would you like to have a positive impact on a child’s life when their family is going through a hard time?  To find out more come to the information evening on Thursday 23rd October 2014 at 7.30pm (Ministry Centre).    For people who want to get involved further, there will be a training day on Saturday 1st November 2014.  To book a place at either event email lisa.fawcett@stmungos.org or scotland@safefamiliesforchildren.com.

    Passing the Baton for Older People. Do you have a couple of hours every other week to befriend a lonely older person? We currently have a waiting list of ladies wanting a befriender in the St Mungo’s ‘catchment area’. If you are interested then please contact Jennifer Nelson

    Living Stones visit – please pray for the three Trustees of our mission partner Living Stones; Teresa & Mike Martin and Devin Scobie, as they visit the Church and School in Pakistan between 24 -30 October.  A feedback evening will be held next month.  Devin hopes to post some ‘live’ photos via his Twitter address [@CaledoniaPA].

    Maseno Project Lunch – Sunday 2nd November 12.45to 2.30pm in the church building.  Come and hear more about exciting developments with the Maseno Project from the Chairman Bruce Collins and also feedback from the Mungo’s team who will just have returned.  Please let Richard or Maggy McArthur know if you plan to come – 449 2220  or richard.mcarthur@stmungos.org

    Pray for the team from St Mungo’s visiting the Maseno Farm project link in Kenya this week – see backpage for the schedule.

    Pray for the youth leaders training day that God would re envision us as we work together to see the young people grab hold of all He has for them.  Also that each of the leaders would be reaffirmed in their calling and in the gifts God has giventhemto work with this group. READ MORE »
