    Week commencing 26 October 2014

    Ministry team/wider leadership meeting on  Wednesday 29 Oct (8pm in church).  Malcolm will be speaking and praying for people “post Toronto.”

    Alpha food.  Could you help by providing a meal or home baking for 20 people for a Thursday evening at all this term?   Recipes, dishes, expenses etc can all be given.  Contact  Alison Marshall.

    Prophetic words of encouragement will be available after the morning service on 2 Nov.

    Daniel Plan.  40 days to a healthier life.   Course starts on Tuesday morning (28 Oct)  for 6 weeks in Wellness Centre.  See flyers and email Sharan on

    Children’s parties on Friday 31 October, for children and their friends as  alternative to Hallowe’en events. ‘Old MacDonald had a farm party’ 10-11.30am for under 5’s; ‘Simply sock-tacular’ 4.45-6.00pm for p1-3 and 6.30-8.00pm for p4-7. All in church building.  RSVP today to for under 5’s party and for both primary school aged parties. Invitations available.

    Friday 31st October – nrg and nbt (S1-S6) will be having a joint (karaoke!) evening at the Ministry Centre,  usual time of 7.30-9.30pm, so drop off and pick up there instead of church

    Dad’s  zone on Sat 1 Nov,for any dads with their little ones – in the church 9 – 10.30am  It is a safe, fun place, with a variety of toys and  crafts, with refreshments.  Open to anyone not just church dads! Details or offer to help to Martin Smart,

    Maseno Project Lunch – Sunday 2 Nov 12.45 to 2.30pm in the church.  Come and hear more about exciting developments from the Chairman Bruce Collins and also feedback from the Mungo’s team who will just have returned.  Please let Richard or Maggy McArthur know if you plan to come – 449 2220 or

    An Evening of Encouragement –for  anyone finding things difficult with regard to their health (physical or emotional) to meet for an evening of worship, sharing, prayer at the Ministry Centre on Thursday 6 Nov 8pm.  Reply to  Bill on .

    Railway day on Saturday 15 November in Ministry Centre.  Great day (2-9pm) for any age train (or toy train) enthusiast.    More information from Phil Banfill, or flyers.  Under 12s must bring an adult. Takeaway meal at 7pm.

    Cherished (St Mungo’s Women’s Ministry) “Christmas is coming!” craft event Saturday 29 Nov 7.30pm.  More details & invitations to follow but put the date in your diary now!

    Safe Families for Children- Would you like to have a positive impact on a child’s life when their family is going through a hard time? You could volunteer as a family friend, a host family or a resource family.   The training day is on Saturday 1 Nov 10am -3.30pm (Ministry Centre).  Book at or

    Passing the Baton for Older People. Do you have time  every other week to befriend a lonely older person? Currently a waiting list of ladies wanting a befriender in the area. If you are interested then please contact Jennifer Nelson.

    Pray for Teresa & Mike Martin and Devin Scobie who are visiting our mission partner Living Stones Church and School in Pakistan this week.   Devin will tweet some photos via his Twitter account (@CaledoniaPA).   A feedback evening will be held in November
